Kundapur: Bus rams into bike at Kumbashi – one dead

Kundapur, Aug 21: An accident involving a bike and a bus is reported from Kumbashi, near Annegudde temple here.

 The accident occurred when the Volvo bus from Hyderabad was heading towards Mangalore in the morning on August 21, 2013. The bike was plying towards Annegudde temple when the bus rammed the bike near the temple, seriously injuring the bike rider.

V N Nagaraj, the bike rider was rushed to a private hospital at Koteshwar but has succumbed to his head injuries.  Nagaraj, a purohit by profession is the son of late Narasimha, a resident of Pethri, Kannaru.  He belongs to Vadghar mane, Gandhakatte post, Shrangeri by origin.

He has left behind his wife and two kids.  The Volvo bus driver is said to be Srinivas Rao, son of Ram Kottiah, Vijayawada district. 

 A case has been registered at the Kundapur Traffic Police station in this regard.
