Mangalore, Feb 10: The Mangalaore South Police Station cops have arrested three interstate thieves on Feb 8. The team from Kerala state, which was operating in Mangalore, has been involved in 10 theft cases in Mangalore.
On Feb 8 at 1 pm the police team consisting of SI H N Venkatesh Prasanna, crime investigation branch ASI J N Anand Kumar and crime branch personnel Seetharam Gowda, Dinesh Bekal, Chethan R, Yashodara M, Kumar B and Santhosh were on their rounds at Shivbagh when they took Navaz (19) into custody on grounds of suspicion. Based on the directions given by him during interrogation his associates V K Ravindran (45) and Shaiju R (21) were arrested.
The team operating in Mangalore from 2005 has robbed several houses and are said to have sold the jewelary in the neighbouring state. The gang has stolen a total of 387 gram jewelary worth R 3.10 lac.
