Bangalore, Aug 28 (IANS): Infosys' board member Ashok Vemuri has resigned, the global software major announced Wednesday.
"Vemuri has decided to leave Infosys. As an integral part of the company over the last 15 years, he has played a significant role in building the company's market leadership in the financial services and manufacturing verticals and North America," the company said in a statement here.
Vemuri was also the IT bellwether's head of Americas and global head of manufacturing and engineering services.
Sanjay Jalona, the company's regional head for manufacturing in North Americas, will take over as global head of manufacturing.
"The transition plan is in place," the Infosys added.
Vemuri's resignation come within a week of Sudhir Chaturvedi quitting the company as head of its US financial services business.
The company's global sales head, Basab Pradhan, also resigned last month to join a start-up.
The rejig in the top management follows an organisational overhaul initiated in the company after its co-founder N.R. Narayana Murthy returned to the board June 1 as executive chairman with his son Rohan Murty as executive assistant in the chairman's office.
