Patna, Aug 28 (IANS): Bihar will participate at the China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) in September to promote investment in the state, state Industry Minister Renu Kumari Kushwaha said Wednesday.
The minister will lead the team, comprising top officials of her department and representatives of the Bihar Chambers of Commerce and CII.
"A team of 12 to 15 people will participate at CIFIT in Fujian province from Sep 8 to 11 on the invitation of China," Kushwaha told media persons here.
According to her, the Indian embassy in China has requested the Bihar government to send a delegation to CIFIT. Last year, Rajasthan had been invited by China to participate.
Kushwaha said that it will be a big opportunity for changing Bihar to show its development model to the world and attract Chinese investors. "Our team will try to attract potential investors from China and other countries at CIFIT," she said.
Bihar's main focus is to attract investors for infrastructure development including road, power, tourism and building sectors, she said.
