Udupi, Feb 12: A lorry laden with plastic goods from Mumbai on its way to Kerala collided with a jeep on Friday night around 11-30, resulting in the owner-driver of the jeep, Bhoja Shetty of Manipal getting critically injured. He has been admitted to a private hospital in Brahmavar. The accident took place at Sastan on the national highway.
With the impact of the collision, the Mahindra jeep, coming from Brahmavar towards Manoor-Padukere, is said to have rolled over, trapping Bhoja Shetty inside the vehicle.
Traffic on the national highway was disrupted following the accident. The Kota police rushed to the spot and cleared the way for traffic and registered a case.
