Website based on crowd sourcing launched to help train commuters


New Delhi, Aug 31 (IANS): Based on crowd sourcing, private portal RailYatri Saturday launched another portal, RailWisdom, to provide information on stations and travel tips to train passengers.

In a statement, the company said it expects to invest over $1 million in the next two years and is already receiving a traction of around 12,000 visitors daily.

The portal was launched at the at the Big Mobility Conference at Bangalore.

The portal is providing information through a solution built on Google Maps and contextual and location specific travel tips and trivia on trains, stations and destinations.

The product will soon be available on Android, iOs, Blackberry and Windows OS, the company statement said.
