Nashik, Sep 4 (PTI): Ten youngsters, including four girls, working as trainees in a company were on Tuesday arrested for allegedly driving their 19-year-old female colleague to suicide.

The girl left a note which purportedly mentioned that she was harassed and ragged by her colleagues which prompted her to take the extreme step. The note was handed over to the police by the deceased's father.

Police have booked the ten accused under section 306 (abetment of suicide) of the IPC and section 4 of Maharashtra Ragging Act.

The victim's father alleged that her daughter was bright and she was selected to go to Germany for further training by the company. Her colleagues were jealous of her and, therefore, they used to harass her.

The accused and the victim were doing apprenticeship at the company following completion of industrial training after passing from class tenth.

Ragging used to take place in the college campus but such things happening at Company training centre is something new and strange.

May be the victim was of soft nature.

May her soul rest in peace.

I would suggest to those who are ragged, to muster courage and complain the matter to the Institution head or a responsible person who can take up the matter and put an end to the ragging. Or go to police and lodge a complaint
Now, instead of that she has taken her life which was very valuable to her and to her parents too. It would have been better if she had been bold and faced the problem head on.
Others please take courage and meat the problem head on and do not take this extreme step of defeatism.

I do not sympathise with those rogues who are very responsible for her to commit suicide and should be imprisoned for a long time. I hope all of them are above 18 years old!!!

Last week I saw a news that People burnt about 10 buses because one of the bus killed 4 year on the road. These are Government buses and the loss will be for Government/public tax paying people. If some people are thinking it is for justice than Go and burn the children’s house because of whose behavior this Girl has committed suicide. Now the people may tell why parents has to suffer because of their kid’s behavior, but why Taxpayers and Government has to incur loss because of one accident. Why people are not asking the parent that what 4 year child was doing on the road?????
