Tokyo, Sep 5 (IANS): The Bank of Japan Thursday said Japan's economy is "recovering moderately" and has upgraded its assessment of the economy for the first time in two months, Xinhua reported citing local media.
The central bank said substantial consumer spending and recovering corporate spending helped recover the economy.
Meanwhile, the central bank said it would also continue its aggressive monetary easing policy that was introduced in April, adding it would conduct market operations to increase the monetary base at an annual pace of about $601.38 billion to $701.61 billion, said Japan's Kyodo News.
