Raveesh Kumar India's new consul general in Frankfurt


Frankfurt, Sep 5 (IANS): Raveeh Kumar, a 1995 batch Indian Foreign Service officer, has been appointed India's new Consul-General in Frankurt.

Prior to assuming this charge Sep 2, he served as India's deputy chief of mission in Jakarta, Indonesia, since September 2010, a press release issued by the Indian consulate in Frankfurt stated.

A fluent speaker of Bahasa Indonesia, Raveesh Kumar started his diplomatic career with the Indian mission in Jakarta.

This was followed by postings in Thimpu, Bhutan, and London.

During his stint in New Delhi, he looked after the East Asia desk.
