Srinivas H Ritti conferred first Rashtrakavi Govind Pai Award

Udupi, Sep 7: Srinivas H Ritti from Dharwad received the first Rashtrakavi Govind Pai Award at Noothana Ravindra Mandap MGM College on Friday September 6.

The award was instituted by Rashtrakavi Govind Pai Research Center, Udupi and Academy of General Education, Manipal. Srinivas H Ritti received prize amount of Rs 1 lakh as part of the award.

83-year-old renowned writer Ritti said, “Nobody can do qualitative research like Rashtrakavi Manjeshwara Govind Pai. I am nothing in front of him, and it is his blessing that I am chosen for this award"

Govind Pai’s research works span various dimensions and stand as a model in research field, he added.

Lauding Pai's work Ritti said, “He is not just Rashtrakavi but also a ‘trend setter’ in research field. He was a specialist in writing ‘foot note’ in every page of his books.”

He also said that with more facilities men tend to become lazier.
