Williams beats Li to enter US Open final

New York, Sep 7 (IANS): World No.6 tennis player Li Na of China failed to advance to her second Grand Slam final of the season after losing to top seed Serena Williams of the US in the US Open here.

The American won 6-0, 6-3 at the Flushing Meadows Friday. The Chinese saved as many as six match points in the eighth game of the second set. However, Williams took her chance to serve out the match, reports Xinhua.

Last four placing was the best record for Li here at the US Open.
