Mangalore, Feb 17: Dakshina Kannada Congress vice president and young leader Ivan D'Souza has been appointed notary public by the government of Karnataka recently.

Ivan D'Souza is an advocate by profession and has been rendering his services in the city for the last 18 years. He has his own office in the Medicare Complex at Karanglapady here.

Ivan D'Souza has been in the service of people for long.  He was the president of state Karnataka Cashew Plantations Corporation,  member Syndicate Senate and Academy Council of Mangalore University in the past.  At present he is the vice president of district Congress, director of CAMPCO and president of Dakshina Kannada Labour Council.

He is also the president of Dakshina Kannda bus workers' association and auto rickshaw drivers association.

Gynaecology Clinic of Dr Kavita D'Souza Inaugurated

Bishop Aloysius Paul D’Souza inaugurated the new gynocology clinic of Dr Kavita D’Souza at “Sanjeevini” medical chambers in Falnir Road here recently.

Speaking on the occasion he called upon the doctors to be committed and sincere in their profession.  "Your profession is a sacred profession.  You can save or end life.  All you need is commitment and sincerity," he advised.

Chief whip of the government Abhaychandra Jain, Mangalore diocese vicar general Fr Fred Pereira, former minister B A Moideen, Bar council member advocate Sitaram Shetty, Fr Santhosh, Fr Walter D'Mello, Fr Denis D'Sa, Fr Baruchas, retired district judge Umesh Shetty, former MP B Ibrahim, ASP Lokesh Kumar were also present on the occasion.

Ivan D'Souza welcomed the gathering and Dr Kavita D'Souza proposed vote of thanks on the occasion.
