Man shot dead in Delhi


New Delhi, Sep 8 (IANS): A 40-year-old man was shot dead here in his home in the early hours of Sunday, police said.

The incident took place at Karawal Nagar in east Delhi around 1.30 a.m.

Ashok Sharma, a worker in a hygiene products factory, was sleeping with his family when the assailant barged into his house.

The attacker shot Sharma in his chest and fled the scene.

Sharma succumbed before he could be taken taken to hospital.

Police said Sharma's family could not identify the assailant. They suspect personal enmity could be the reason behind the murder.
