New Delhi, Sep 10 (IANS): Delhi will witness a hung assembly with the BJP emerging as the single largest party and the newly-floated AAP not making a major breakthrough in the polls slated for this year-end, a new survey has said.

The survey, by online magazine 'gfiles', said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) of anti-corruption activist Arvind Kejriwal may manage to win between two-five seats.

The BJP may get 30-33 seats in the 70-member assembly and the ruling Congress is expected to get 25-28 seats, with its three-time Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit likely to face trouble in her New Delhi constituency, it said.

The Congress won 43 seats in the 2008 elections while the BJP nominees got elected in 23 constituencies. The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) bagged two seats.

Conducted over six months, the pre-election survey contacted 7,000 people in 272 municipal wards, 'gfiles' said in a press release Tuesday.

The survey hinted at trouble for Dikshit, who is likely to be locked in a triangular fight with AAP's Arvind Kejriwal and the BJP in her constituency.

The magazine quoted a Kejriwal aide as saying that AAP volunteers had already contacted around 20,000 households in the constituency and received a positive feedback.

The survey said there was a virtual direct battle between the Congress and the BJP in around 25 constituencies.

An earlier ABP News-Nielsen survey also predicted a hung assembly in Delhi with the BJP emerging as the single largest party.

It said that the BJP was likely to get 32 seats and Congress 27. The survey said the AAP would win eight seats while the BSP would hold on to its two seats.
