Beltangady, Feb 20: A passenger who was travelling by a government bus was killed after being thrown out of the moving bus at Madyalachadavu near Dharmasthala here on Sunday February 19.
The deceased has been identified as Vishwanath (45), a resident of Koppal district. He was travelling on a bus, which was on its way to Bellary from Dharmasthala. Since the bus was full, he was standing near the closed door of the bus. But owing to the reckless driving of the bus driver, the bus door opened suddenly at a steep curve.
As a result, Vishwanath who was near the door was thrown out on the road and sustained serious injuries. Though he was taken to the hospital, he succumbed to the fatal injuries on the way itself.
One Suresh has now filed a complaint against bus driver Karimanjappa and conductor Prakash in the Beltangady police station in this regard. The police have arrested both the driver and the conductor and seized the bus.
