Mangalore, Feb 21: A demonstration in protest against the ‘obscene depiction’ of Hindu gods and goddesses in the paintings of renowned painter M F Hussain, was held by the members of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) and Bajrang Dal in front of the deputy commissioner’s office here, on Monday February 20.
An appeal has been made to the deputy commissioner, to convey to the Government of India, a serious concern over some foreign companies using Hindu gods and goddesses as marketing commodities.
