No looking back at failures: Sai Ram's B'day resolve

Chennai, Sep 13 (IANS): Telugu actor Sai Ram Shankar, who turned 37 Friday, says as his birthday resolution he has decided not to worry about failures and to focus on future.

"I know my films haven't done well, and therefore, people always ask me how I cope with failure. This is why I have decided not to look back at failures and instead work hard towards a bright future. I'm going to religiously follow it from this birthday," Sai Ram told IANS.

Brother of filmmaker Puri Jagannadh, Sai has starred in films like "Danger", "143" and "Neninthe". Unfortunately, he hasn't registered a hit yet in his career.

He says that his last release, Telugu romantic-drama "1000 Abaddalu", would have clicked at the box-office had there been no political agitation going on in Andhra Pradesh.

"I wouldn't blame director Teja for the film's bad run because I personally received good response for my role. In fact, I don't mind working with Teja again if given an opportunity. I know what he is capable of delivering and I don't think any actor would turn down an offer to work with him," he added.

"1000 Abaddalu", released on Aug 15, two weeks after soon-to-be new state Telangana was carved out of Andhra Pradesh.

Meanwhile, Sai is upbeat about his upcoming releases - "Romeo" and "Dillunodu".

He said: "I'm looking forward to both the films. I hope they turn out to be successful at the box-office. They have the scope for success, but we have to wait for the audience's reception," he said.
