160 judges transferred in Punjab, Haryana


Chandigarh, Sep 13 (IANS): The Punjab and Haryana High Court Friday ordered the transfer of 160 judges and judicial officers in the two states.

This is first time that so many judges have been transferred by the high court in one go.

The judges and judicial officers transferred are at the district level in both states. These include 90 in Punjab and 70 in Haryana.

These include chief judicial magistrates and civil judges.
