Fashion and gay culture go hand-in-hand: Naomi Campbell

Los Angeles, Sep 14 (IANS): Supermodel Naomi Campbell says that the fashion industry owes its vibrancy to the plethora of gay designers like Gianni Versace and Alexander McQueen.

"The gay community has made an incredibly profound impact on the fashion industry, and without key creatives such as Marc Jacobs, Gianni Versace, Dolce & Gabbana, Alexander McQueen, to name a few, the art form would not be so vibrant," femalefirst.co.uk quoted Campbell as saying.

She further added that fashion and gay culture go "hand-in-hand".

"Gay culture and fashion go hand-in-hand, in that they flourish in the light of making bold and brave statements," she added.
