Shun anti-India attitude: Modi tell Pakistan

Rewari (Haryana), Sep 15 (IANS): BJP's prime ministerial candidate and Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi Sunday told Pakistan to shun its anti-India attitude and stop backing terrorism against India.

In his first rally after being chosen the prime ministerial candidate Friday, Modi told a massive rally of ex-soldiers in this Haryana town that promoting gun culture had done Pakistan no good over the last 60 years.

"The rulers in Pakistan should resolve that they will not allow terrorists to (operate) in Pakistan for 10 years, will not protect terrorists, will not allow its soil to be the breeding ground for terrorists.

"I can say with authority that if this happens, Pakistan will see the progress that it has not seen in the last 60 years (since it got independence)," he said.

Modi said Pakistan had "converted India into a war zone through its war mindset and support for terrorism.

"Earlier, the war used to take place on the border. But when you (Pakistan) could not defeat the Indian Army, you started going for killing innocent citizens.

"Killing innocents through cross border terrorism is neither going to help Pakistan nor India."

Amid cheers, Modi went on: "You cannot progress with anti-India tirade. You cannot progress on this basis... For you own interests and for the youth of your country, you should rethink the wrong path you have chosen in the last 60 years and step back."

"I want to tell the rulers whether it is of Bangladesh, India or Pakistan: if we have to fight, we should fight against poverty, illiteracy and other ills."

Thousands of people, including former soldiers, turned up for Modi's first public rally as the Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate.

Sharing the dais were former army chief V.K. Singh and several retired military officers.

Most of them are ex servicemen. Hardly any savings\money to spend.
Do u know anything about paid crowd? BJP is famous for that.
This was a paid crowd. Otherwise do you think they would have come to hear ganji talk? (Kichidi)
RSS has said they will do anything to project Modi, by "HOOK OR CROOK"
and Modi has to be their obedient PUPPY. Modi Has agreed to all that tamely.
That shows Modi has no backbone of his own...

Paid crowd!! This is the biggest joke.
Only your Amul baby and Congi needs Paid crowd not Modi. If you have forgotten Hyderabad rally, I will remind you. People even paid Rs.5 to hear Modi speech.
You are completely ignorant and don't know anything about Modi and RSS. Modi is the one who suppressed RSS and other Sangh outfits in Gujarat to make sure nobody interferes in administration. RSS is now supporting Modi, because currently It doesn't have any other option. BJP can not come to power without Modi and If Congi comes back to power then they will make sure that all Hindus are either killed or sold and then they will sell this country also.

    Good step as of Modiji..
We need good relationship with our neighbours..as said by Vajapyeeji..we cannot change our neighbours..but our own behaviour..
Whenever things close for treaty..either RAW/IAS..create some problem..
As America/Canada/Mexico..are working in one zone..why not Iran/Pakistan/India/Russa/China..create there own zone..???
If once Asia become strong...there is no chance whatever for either Europe/America..
Both India and China will capture more of Oil Fields..
It's good to know even before creation of country..Ambani is having stake in Kurdistan Oilfield..now withdrawn looks like..
For small small things..we should not fight..and should create good atomsphere..as we are holding same culture..
Some unwanted factors not allow us to become 'one'..
Need more of security for Modiji..as his life is in danger..a lot...
No other country will look for good leadership in India..
We need first seat in U.N. to solve most of our problems..by keeping good relationship with our neighbouring countries..
It's what we needed from Modiji..Jai Ho..
People from Pakistan from Bangladesh are better rather than anti-nationals who are residing within India..!!
We no need any borders..can travel anywhere..like animals/birds..
    It's vision of Modiji..
    Door Ka Soch....
