Ankara, Sep 16 (IANS): The Turkish army has seized more than 10 tonnes of cannabis in a large-scale operation in the country's southeastern part, Governor of Turkey's Diyarbakir province Cahit Kirac said Sunday.

About 500 troops of Turkish security forces, 25 teams of Turkish gendarme forces and police took part in the anti-drugs operation in Lice town of Diyarbakir province Saturday, Kirac was quoted as saying by Dogan news agency, Xinhua reported.
