Kundapur, Feb 23: The people of the taluk have condemned the Konkan Railway authorities for the injustice meted out to the taluk by not giving a stop for many of the trains at Moodlakatte railway station.
Further, the people have also expressed their grouse against the railway authorities for not allowing recently started Janshatabdi to stop at the Moodlakatte station.
Accordingly, the protest has been intensified with the forming of Taluk Railway Passengers Welfare Forum led by former MLA A G Kodgi. The forum has also decided to demand for online booking facilities, construction of over bridge etc.
The forum also includes Kundapur and Byndoor MLAs, Jaycees members and senior statesmen of the taluk as members. The forum has already warned the Konkan railway board of taking to streets if their demands are not met.
