Udupi, Sep 18: Prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's 64th birthday was celebrated by district BJP leaders and workers at Spandana Special School in Nejare on Tuesday September 17.
Uday Kumar Shetty, president, district BJP, said that it is the best way to celebrate the birthday of a great leader. “As a party, BJP wants to see Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s ruling tenure back with Narendra Modi. As per one of the media reviews, after Gandhi, one of the great and acceptable leaders in the state is Vajpayee. The BJP feels great to say that he is our member and the same sentiment is applicable to Modi,” he added.
“India should be a model to the world as far as administration is concerned and that is possible only through the BJP under Modi’s leadership. So, a week ago, he was declared the Prime Ministerial candidate,” added Shetty.
Ragupathy Bhat, former MLA, said that Congress in the centre is known for a corrupt government and people wish to have a strong government. “Modi has shown a very good example of administration as CM of Gujarat,” he added.
