Firing by Afghan forces kills five in Pakistan


Islamabad, Sep 18 (IANS): At least five people were killed and 20 wounded when Afghan forces opened fire near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border Wednesday.

Afghan forces intruded into Pakistani territory in the country's southwest Zhob area and fired indiscriminately, killing five people and injuring 20, Geo News reported.

The injured people were shifted to a nearby hospital, the report said.

The intrusion and the firing were unprovoked, the report added.
