Shuttler Sindhu exits Japan Open


Tokyo, Sep 19 (IANS): Eighth-seeded Indian shuttler P.V. Sindhu was ousted from the $200,000 Japan Open Super Series after she lost her second round women's singles match at the Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium here Thursday.

Japanese qualifier Akane Yamaguchi beat the Indian 21-6, 21-17 in 32 minutes to advance to the quarterfinals.
