Mangalore, Feb 26: For whom it rings? -a short film made by the students of II year journalism of St Aloysius College, bagged the first place in the 'Shooting Stars,' the short film making contest organised by the College.
For whom it rings?- is a film about uncontrolled and excessive use of cell phone and its hidden consequences.

The second place was bagged by Abyss - the fatal fall made by the III year students and directed by Tony Singh. The film revolves round a girl who was caught in the vortex of drugs.

The third place however was bagged by Aeiou -An effort in our unity, made by the students of I year and directed by Sandhya D'Souza.

The other seven movies, Late Entry, Frens, What!!!???, De Ja Vu, The Taboo, Shayad... if only and Aastha were given participation certificates

The prizes were presented by Photographer Ravi Posavanike after screening of all the 10 short films on Saturday 25, 2006.
