Addressing presspersons here on Thursday, Minister of State for Food and Civil Supplies Dinesh Gundu Rao, who is also the in-charge of Chikballapur district, said 47 Government offices in different places in the district would be shifted to the new building.

The new building has a 500-seat capacity auditorium, a 150-seat zilla panchayat conference hall, and a few mini halls for holding meetings.

Union Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas M Veerappa Moily, who represents the Chikballapur constituency in the Lok Sabha, and several Cabinet Ministers of the State would participate in the inaugural programme, Rao said.
