Cabinet nod to de-hoarding of pulses, oilseeds

New Delhi, Sep 20 (IANS): In a bid to keep prices in check, the cabinet Friday approved extending an order which allows states to act against hoarding of pulses, edible oils and edible oilseeds for one year.

The decision would enable state governments to take effective de-hoarding operations under the Essential Commodities Act, an official statement said.

The move will help in the efforts being taken to tackle the problem of rising prices and improve the availability of these commodities to general public, said the statement.
