Mangalore, Feb 28: The Karnataka Dalit Sangharsh Samiti (Ambedkar ideology) has opposed the privatization of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC).
This was announced during a press conference addressed by district convener of the samiti P Keshav on Monday February 27 morning. The samiti has organized a jaatha from A B Shetty Circle on Monday March 6. Along with that, a roadblock will be held at Dr B R Ambedkar Circle at Jyoti on the same day.
The samiti has also been demanding a special court for the transport system along with the demand to give preference to the locals while filling the backlog posts.
Monappa Salian, Padmanabh Devu, V Timmappa, Ramesh, Sadashiv and Rohit Ullal too were present at the press conference.
