Mangalore, Mar 1: The Karnataka High Court has issued notice to the local administration with regard to the illegal constructions in the city.

Taking into consideration the plea by Vidya Dinkar regarding the illegal constructions, the High Court bench comprising of chief justice Siriac Joseph and justice K Sridhar Rao issued notices to deputy commissioner of Dakshina Kannada district, Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) and Mangalore Urban Development Authority (MUDA).

The plaintiff in her appeal had complained that a lot of buildings coming up in and around the city have been throwing to winds all the rules and regulations regarding safety.  Most of the buildings do not even have the fire security.  Moreover, there are some more buildings, which do not attain Non Objection Certificate (NOC) from the city corporation.

Taking into consideration all these facts, the High Court has taken up the case for hearing.
