Porto Alegre, Sep 24 (IANS): Construction work on the Beira-Rio 2014 World Cup Stadium here is 83 percent complete.
The venue's roof and lighting system will be installed within the next month, according to the stadium's tenant, Sport Club Internacional, reports Xinhua.
More than 400 reflectors will be fitted and energised by an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) to avoid potential blackouts during matches.
The venue, which will have a capacity to seat 53,000 fans, will host five matches during the June 12-July 13 tournament.
Earlier this year, FIFA secretary general Jerome Valcke warned that Brazil's 12 World Cup venues must be ready by Dec 31.
