CLT20 Ahmedabad match Sep 27 shifted to Jaipur

New Delhi, Sep 25 (IANS): The Champions League Twenty20 Group A game between Mumbai Indians and the Highveld Lions at Ahmedabad Sep 27 has been shifted to Jaipur.

The venue has been shifted due to incessant rain over the past few days which also led to the two matches Sep 23 -- Highveld Lions vs Perth Scorchers and Mumbai Indians vs Otago Volts -- being washed out. The match will now be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.

"Ahmedabad has been witnessing heavy and relentless rainfall over the past few days. In the interest of cricket, the CLT20 Group A game between Mumbai Indians and Highveld Lions, which was scheduled to be played at Ahmedabad on 27 September, has been shifted to Jaipur. The match will be played at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, at 8:00 p.m. on 27 September," said a CLT20 release Wednesday.

The rain has also put the two matches Sep 30 in doubt.

"The weather in Ahmedabad will be monitored on a continuous basis, and a decision on the double-header on 30 September will be taken a few days later."

The release added that the spectators, who had purchased tickets for the Ahmedabad game, can get their money refunded between Sep 27 to Oct 2.

"Spectators can claim a refund from the refund counter at the box office at the Sardar Patel Gujarat Stadium, Motera, Ahmedabad, from 27 September 2013 to 2 October 2013, between 10:00 am and 6:00 pm. Refunds can be claimed only on producing a valid paid ticket. All tickets purchased through the internet will be refunded directly online. The Refund counter will not be open on the day of the double-header on 30 September."
