Benitez not shocked by Napoli's draw with Sassuolo

Rome, Sep 26 (IANS): Napoli manager Rafa Benitez said he was not shocked by his side's 1-1 draw with Sassuolo at home as the visitors played well.

It was a match between Italian Serie A leaders and a team without a single point, and Napoli Wednesday shockingly failed to beat Sassuolo who lost to Inter 0-7 in last round, reports Xinhua.

"When you start out, it is always a draw. At the end of the day we took a point each, but we can't win before we start," Benitez said.

"We played on the same level as the other performances, but if you play every three days and face a side that lost 0-7, you risk underestimating the challenge. We met a team that was organised and knew what to do, proving the loss to Inter was an aberration rather than a true reflection of Sassuolo," he said.

Benitez said his side need to train hard to improve themselves.

"We have to work on some things in training, such as how quickly we moved the ball, but I liked the effort tonight. I am not satisfied, obviously, but we are not worried," he said.
