Mysore, Sep 26 (IANS): West Indies A moved into a strong position as they restricted India A to 123 for three in their first innings in response to the visitors' total of 429 at stumps on the second day of their four-day game, here Thursday.
Overnight 264 for 5, the Windies extended their innings thanks to Assad Fudadin (86, 201b, 10x4, 1x6) and some gritty batting by Nikita Millier (49, 86b, 5x4) while off-spinner Parvez Rasool came away with a haul of 5 for 116.
In reply, the home team lost wickets at regular intervals with opener Lokesh Rahul (46, 100b, 7x4) held one end up while he lost partner Jiwanjot Singh (16) and skipper Cheteshwar Pujara (3) before being dismissed after putting on 60 runs for the third wicket with Manpreet Juneja who was batting on 47 (77b, 7x4).
