Training camp for junior basketball players


New Delhi, Sep 27 (IANS): The India Under-16 girls and Under-18 boys will undergo a Basketball Federation of India (BFI) training camp from Sep 30 to Nov 3 and Sep 30 to Oct 19, respectively.

The girls, who are scheduled to participate in the upcoming third FIBA Asia U-16 Championship in Colombo from Nov 17-24, will be undergoing their second training camp at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) training centre in Gandhinagar. Upon completion of the camp, the girls team will travel to Dungguan, China, Nov 6 for an exposure trip to compete against various Chinese clubs.

The boys, on the other hand, will be training at the SAI centre in Aurangabad ahead of their SABA qualifying round for the 23rd FIBA U-18 Asia Championship.
