Mangalore, Mar 5: Three ministers of the newly-formed State Government- V S Acharya, B Nagaraj Shetty and Cheluvaraya Swami- were honoured by the Canara Bus Owners' Association, DK Bus Owners' Association and Paura Sanmana Samiti in the Milagres Hall on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion Minister for Medical Education and Animal Husbandry V S Acharya, who arrived in the district for the first time after being sworn in as the minister, said the new government would emphasis on development and growth. Social justice will be given utmost importance while the development work will be made to reach all wards of life especially to the backward class.
Minister for Transport Cheluvaraya Swami said justice would be provided to all and equal development will be ensured in all the regions of the state.
Minister for Fisheries and Endowment B Nagaraj Shetty said that the present State Government is working for the people and with an intention to put a check on corruption
Bhattaraka Charukeerti Mahaswami of Moodbidri Jain Basadi and Vidyaprasannateertha Swamiji of Subhrahmanya Math graced the occasion.
Canara Bus Owners' Association president Rajaverma Ballal, Mangalore MLA N Yogish Bhat, New Medical Centre managing director Dr B R Shetty, Ananthram Rao, D K Bus Owners' Association president P Bhaskar Salian and District Kannada Sahitya Parishat president Pradeep Kumar Kalkura and MLA Abhayachandra Jain were present on the occasion.
