Mangalore: Bertrand Russell High School celebrates Gandhi Jayanthi

Mangalore, Oct 2: The students of Bertrand Russell English Medium High School, Baikamapady, here, celebrated Gandhi Jayanthi on Wednesday October 2.

All the students gathered at the school premises at 7 am. They marched towards Baikampady market area with the teachers.

The students carried out cleaning work in and around Baikampady fish market area and bus stand under the guidance of the teachers. They cleared all the degradable waste from the area. This exercise started at 7.15 am and ended at 9 am. 

Later they assembled at the school premises and paid tribute to the great leader, father of the nation. 

School correspondent Nisha Laxman guided the students how to follow the footsteps of Mahatma Gandhiji in their day to day life.

Mangalore City Corporation Health and Environment Department provided hand gloves and other materials to the students.
