Mangalore:  Truth has high bitterness potential.

Members of each profession or occupation think that they serve the country best. However, not many think about the hard-working, unorganized labourers who really sweat it out and ensure that the rest of the compatriots get their food.

They do not have working comforts, no casual or annual leave, nor any provident fund benefits. Yet, they do not go on strikes or call for bundhs nor do they hold the rest of the people at ransom with such tactics.

Ironically, those enjoying all benefits seem to be always an unhappy lot.

But there is contentment on the faces of these workers, having earned their daily bread with hard work and dignity of labour.
