Dammam, Oct 3: ‘Students Fraternity Forum’ will be conducting an ‘Essay Contest’ in relation to the‘Gandhi Jayanti’ celebration for expatriate Indian students residing in the eastern province of Saudi Arabia.
The competition will be held by dividing the students in to 3 categories Senior (Std. IX & X), Junior (Std.VII & VIII) and Sub-Junior (Std.IV, V&VI,) with different subjects namely: ‘An India: Dreamt by Mahatma Gandhi’, ‘Significance of AHIMSA (Non-violence) in the present world’ and ‘My Bapuji’ respectively.
The contest will begin on October 2 and end on October 15, late entries will not be considered. Entries can be done either by sending an e mail to oct2celebration@gmail.com or uploading the essays through the website www.studentsfraternity.com.
The rules and regulations can be also viewed on the website. The essays will be valued and marked confidentially by an independent panel of judges.
Prizes will be awarded to winners of each category during a reception program to be held after the contest. The prizes will be as follows:
First place : gold coin, trophy and certificate
Second place : gold coin, trophy and certificate
Third place : gift, trophy and certificate
Students Fraternity Forum, an organization which consists of students from different states of India, is dedicated to help and encourage students in all respects considering a career in right way and conducting a lots of programs like; career guidance, Pavithram (PAreekshaVIjayasooTHRAM), sports meet, arts festivals etc. for the growth & development of students in curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular fields.
By this essay contest, Students Fraternity aims to make students aware about the ideals of Gandhiji and its importance in the modern world. The Students Fraternity hopes that, it will enable the students to understand more about our the ‘leader of nation’ and to take part in the formation of a future world of peace and prosperity by getting ideas from Gandhian philosophy.
