Udupi, Mar 7: Vijay Kumar Shetty (55), owner of the Vijay Bhavan Group of Padubidri near here passed away on Monday March 6 night following a heart attack.
He had just reached home at 11.30 in the night after closing Sapna Super Bazaar, a sister concern of Vijay Bhavan Group when he suffered a heart attack. He was immediately rushed to the hospital. But he died on the way.
He was founder president of Padubidri Jaycees and founder member of Lions Club, Padubidri. He had also been the member of Udupi Hotel Owners Association.
Final rites will be held on Tuesday March 7 afternoon at 3 pm near his residence 'Vijay Nivas at Padubidri. He is survived by wife, 3 sons, 6 sisters and one brother.
