Mangalore, Mar 8: The Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy has organized "International Women's Day celebrations and Dialogue with Tulu Stalwarts” on Wednesday March 8 evening. The programme will be held at the academy chavadi at 4 pm on Wednesday.
Dakshina Kannada ZP president Mamata D S Gatti and noted Yakshagana bhagwat Leela Baipadittay will be the chief guests on the occasion. The programme will be presided over by Tulu academy president M K Seetaram Kulal.
Two women who have contributed immensely to Tulu literature, Sharada R Rao and Catherine Rodrigues will be honoured on the occasion.
Noted advocate Pushpalatha K will deliver a lecture on "Importance of Legal Awareness Among Women." The programme will conclude with a Tulu poetry session.
