Karkala: State Bank of Mysore Shirva branch celebrates centenary

Karkala, Oct 4: State Bank of Mysore celebrated its centenary year on October 2. 

 It was on this day in 1913 the bank was founded by the great visionary M Visvesvaraya. In this regard State Bank of Mysore Shirva Branch, in collaboration with Mulky Sundar Ram College, Shirva conducted intercollegiate competition-in eloqution, quiz and essay on topics related to Sir M Visvesvaraya for various colleges coming under Mangalore University.

M R Jayesha, D G M  State Bank of Mysore, Zonal Office Mangalore was the chief guest.

Professor Suresh Rai, Govt. First Grade College, Tenka Nidiyur Udupi delivered a talk on Sir M Visvesvaraya. Secretary Vidyavardhaka Sangha (Regd) Shirva V. Subaiah Hegde presided over the function.

Valerian Aranha, branch manager S B M Shirva Branch proposed the vote of thanks.
