Sullia, Mar 8: The sources from Sullia police station said that a couple who had recently got married in the Sub-Registrar’s office, have now been separated by their parents. Accordingly, the groom Sanath Kumar has filed a case with the Sullia police in this regard.
Sanath Kumar, a student of Sullia Law College, belonging to Gowda caste and Veena, a student of Nehru Memorial College, belonging to the Brahmin caste, were in love with each other for sometime now.
They tied knots at the Omkareshwar Temple in Madikeri district before getting married at the Sub-Registrar’s office here.
However, when the families came to know of the marriage, they opposed and separated the couple. In the meantime, Sanath Kumar lodged a complaint with the police.
