Mysore, Mar 8: In an unusual incident, a duty-bound Traffic Policeman this morning stopped the bus the Chief Minister was travelling in.
The Policeman on duty atop the Chamundi Hill on Lalithadripura Road was terribly upset when he saw the bus soon after the Police escort vehicle passed by.
The Policeman stopped the bus and started shouting at the driver. He asked the driver to park the vehicle on the roadside as the Chief Minister was on his way to the temple.
"Hey, don't you know the Chief Minister is coming ? How did you take this route ?", the Policeman was heard shouting at the driver.
None in the bus including the Chief Minister knew why the bus was stopped. Former MLA A.R. Krishnamurthy got down on seeing the Policeman arguing with the driver. The Policeman told Krishnamurthy also that he would not allow the bus till the Chief Minister's convoy passed through !
The Policeman was puzzled when Krishnamurthy explained that the Chief Minister himself was travelling in the bus and he was not travelling in a car.
The Policeman was apologetic when he said that he did not expect the Chief Minister to travel in the bus.
"Sorry sir", the Policeman said. "Should you not tell me earlier? How do I know that the Chief Minister is coming in a bus?", he asked.
Interestingly, the Police Commissioner Praveen Sood was also travelling in the bus!
