New Delhi, Oct 4 (IANS): A 19-year-old German woman, missing from here since Wednesday, was found dead in mysterious circumstances on a railway track in neighbouring Faridabad in Haryana, police said Friday.

Judith was found dead on Faridabad railway track Wednesday evening but Delhi Police only came to know about her death after tracking her mobile phone location.

"The woman was missing from south Delhi's Chittaranjan Park area from Wednesday. A case of abduction was registered here after her two friends reported her missing," said a police officer.

According to police, the woman had come to Delhi from Germany Aug 15 along with her two friends and had been residing on a rented house in Chittaranjan Park with them.

"The death of the woman, who worked with an NGO, is still a mystery for us... if she had committed suicide by jumping in front of train or she was thrown on the railway track after being murdered," said the officer.
