Kundapur, Mar 8: A fisherman was reported drowned at Gangolli near here recently after falling into the sea from a fishing boat.

Narasimha (32), a resident of Gopadi House in Hangloor near here had gone fishing into the deep sea along with his companions in his boat 'Priyadarshini' . While fishing, he suddenly fell into the sea owing to strong winds. 

Though his companions jumped into the sea to rescue him, he had already been pulled into the deep by the raging waves. His body was then found in a nearby place a day later.  The body was fished out of the water with the help of fire service crew.

The Gangolli police have registered a case in this regard.
