Udupi, Mar 10: A daily wage worker Rajesh (35) was found dead after consuming poison, at Badagrama of Ucchila near here.
Hailing from Sagar, Rajesh was working as a daily wage worker in Ucchila, since the last 15 years. He was staying along with one Haalappa, a relative and was unmarried.
It is learnt that from the past one week, he was depressed and had taken to drinking. The reason for the suicide is yet to be established.
ZP member Shashikanth, TP member Ramesh Poojary, Uchilla Panchayat president Prabhavathi Muthanna and some local people assisted in the autopsy and final rites of Rajesh.
The Padubidri police have registered a case in this regard.
