Beltangady, Mar 11: An arrangement and facility shop belonging to prominent community leader and president of the Christian Coordination Committee of Madantyar Blany D'Souza, was reduced to ashes in a sudden fire on Thursday night.
The cause of fire was an electrical short circuit, said initial reports.
The loss is estimated at Rs 1.25 lac. The goods destroyed in the fire were chairs and shamianas etc. used for functions and events on rental.
