Manipal, Mar 12: Is Manipal’s End Point turning into a haven for illegal and immoral acts?
Media reports have highlighted several crimes in this region. To add to this list is the attempt to rape reported on a minor school girl on Saturday, March 11.
Four persons on Saturday, March 11 attempted to molest a 15-year-old girl in broad daylight at End Point in Manipal. The accused have been identified as Sandeep, Asif, Imran and Zahir. Three of the accused have been arrested and the fourth one is absconding.
The ninth standard girl who was on her way from Udupi to Manipal was enticed by the youth who took her in a car to End Point.
Police sources say that the girl raised an alarm and the people nearby came to her rescue.
A case has been registered and the accused have been produced before the court.
