Mangalore, Mar 12: Mangalore University will discuss an outline of the credit-based semester scheme to be introduced for BA, BSc and BCom courses in a meeting of stakeholders planned at the Old Senate Hall on March 14.

The meeting to be presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof K M Kaveriappa and will be attended by the deans of university departments, president and secretary of the Association of Principals, Board of Studies, subject associations, AMUCT, student associations and parents.

The meeting earlier had discussed various aspects relating to implementation of credit-based semester scheme for conventional degree courses. The meeting was fifth in a row, conducted by the University to iron out contentious issues before ratifying the final decision on implementation of the scheme.

A draft of the system would be discussed in the March 14 meeting and is likely to be placed in the Academic Council meeting for approval. The draft copy once approved by all decision-making bodies of the university will be sent to the Governor for his approval.
